TILTED HAT PRESS ANNOUNCES RELEASE DATE OF BREAKFAST FOR ALLIGATORS, THE SECOND BOOK OF TRAVEL NARRATIVES BY AWARD-WINNING AUTHOR DARRIN DUFORD
QUEENS, NY – A sharp-shooting SWAT team, a Venezuelan producer of alcoholic love potions, and an audacious subway rat are among the cast of characters award-winning author Darrin DuFord encounters in Breakfast for Alligators: Quests, Showdowns, and Revelations in the Americas. Tilted Hat Press, an Omnivorous Traveler imprint, will release Breakfast for Alligators, the second travel narrative collection by DuFord (author of Is There a Hole in the Boat? Tales of Travel in Panama Without a Car, silver medalist in the 2007 Lowell Thomas Travel Journalism Awards) on July 12, 2016.
Thirteen of the thirty-two pieces in the collection have previously appeared in the San Francisco Chronicle, Gastronomica, McSweeney’s Internet Tendency, and other publications. The collection includes “Journey by Bottle,” gold medal winner in the 2013 Travelers’ Tales Solas Awards.
DuFord is a travel and food writer who has written for such publications as BBC Travel, the San Francisco Chronicle, Gastronomica, Vice, World Hum, and Narratively. His narratives appear in the anthologies Stories of Music (Timbre Press, 2015) and Adventures of a Lifetime: Travel Tales from Around the World (World Traveler Press, 2015).
